From Product Reviews
Phiaton, a newcomer to the market, now offers a high-end upgrade to your old earphones. The company's first product was a finely wrought set of over-the-head cones, which we found to deliver clean, well-balanced sound and atypical comfort. The company’s latest offering, the PS 200, is a set of earphones with an asking price of $250.

Brookstone Continues Sharper Image Gift Card Offer
May 2008
From News
Brookstone said Wednesday that it will continue to grant customers 25 percent savings when they present a gift card from rival retailer Sharper Image, a program the speciality retailer began earlier this year when Sharper Image entered bankruptcy. The initial deal had been offered by Brookstone in February, after Sharper Image announced that due to its bankruptcy, it would no longer honor its own gift cards. That chain last week received permission from a U.S. Bankruptcy Court to sell off $50 million in assets. “We want consumers to know that regardless of what happens to Sharper Image, they are welcome at Brookstone,”
Audi Q7 4.2
July 2007
From E-Gear
Historically, Audi has always been synonymous with great performance when the weather turns bad. After all, if you look at their history in WRC Rally racing in Europe, where the conditions are way more treacherous than a Hollywood starlet being chased by paparazzi, Audis usually emerge victorious. Curiously, the vehicle manufacturer has never offered an SUV for American-sized large-vehicle tastes. Previously, Audi did not make an SUV or minivan––about the closest thing was the Audi Allroad which was basically a station wagon on stilts. Now the automaker has entered into the SUV arena and wanted to combine performance, luxury, a third-row
Bose Stabilizes Headphones; No More Bouncy Earbuds
March 2007
From News
At the
Bose Store in Manhattan’s Time Warner Center, a conflagration of brand name boutique stores, the company gave reporters a sneak peak at the latest upgrade of their in-ear headphones. Introduced last summer,
Bose’s in-ear headphones (they won’t call them earbuds, bud) incorporate
Bose’s Triport acoustic structure (also used in their professional aviation products and QuietComfort headphones) designed to reproduce deep bass by using three ports in each earphone. While
Bose claims the original design was well received by consumers, their research noted some complaints over the stability of the product, particular with active users (exercising, running …). Since

From News
Bose says it will release just after Labor Day through its usual distribution channels both the first major revision to its Acoustic Wave System since its 1985 debut -- swapping out analog signal processing for its proprietary DSP solution -- and a USB-connectable plug-and-play multimedia speaker system that will be the flagship of its computer sound products. The
Bose Acoustic Wave Music System II ($1,079), the cosmetic twin of its predecessor, still uses the company’s waveguide technology at its core, now coupled with a redesigned DSP platform, says Santiago Carvajal, category business manager of Wave Systems and Home Entertainment. A major benefit of

Altec Lansing inMotion iM3 Make iPod Even More Portable
April 2005
From Product Reviews
Even though
Bose may very well be a first name in what is a truly remarkable audio system for iPod with its Sound Dock, Altec Lansing's inMotion speakers are hardly confined to runner-up status. Instead, whereas the
Bose is ideally suited for quality in-home use, inMotion are among the most portable, crisp-sounding iPod speakers on the market today. Because the speaker station actually folds up, it's easy to take the unit on the road as it fits very easily into a lightweight carry-all. As vacation season fast approaches, you can be sure that inMotion iM3 will save those of us from suffering from
