Canton Movie 150 QX
March 2007 From Product Reviews
For many people, the dream of owning a German-made sports car is simply that, a dream. All too often our dreams elude us as a matter of simple economics—not enough money to buy the dream. So we wind up trying to fashion some other means of seeing that dream fulfilled and before we know it, we wind up with a pile of parts in the garage and the shell of something which our spouse concludes is nothing more than an expensive trash bin. Okay, this is getting too real… In the world of high-performance speakers there are but a few “German sports cars” and

Wharfedale Diamond 8 Speakers
July 2001 From Product Reviews
Clearly a Super Value by Mike McGann For decades, we former colonists have managed to revere speakers from the old mother country, seeing them as models of precision and workmanship.Serious audiophiles at minimum acknowledge this, and in some cases, slobber embarrassingly all over themselves at the thought of British woofers. Not without reason, mind you, as I have exhibited my share of lust for the likes of B&W, Monitor Audio, Mission and so on over the years. NEW PRODUCTS
March 2001 From E-Gear
Edited by David Dritsas GI-JOE Audio Take of a bit of military design, add a splash of iMac translucence, and you've got the Jeep boombox. The silver switches in place of buttons and the tire tread base are some nice added touches. It comes in

March 2001 From E-Gear
A Guide to New Audio FormatsBy David DritsasJargon is all around you, and it's impossible to avoid in the world of audio. Numbers, acronyms and new formats seem to emerge faster than you can keep up. Whether it's higher quality audio stored on DVD or adding a rear channel in home theater sound tracks, remembering what it all means can be a bit of a head spinner. Most of the terms you will hear are easier to understand than you may think. A basic understanding of home theater and audio formats is not rocket science. But do be somewhat alert. The digital age has
