If this issue appears a little slanted toward LCD TVs, you’re not wrong, though the slant was accidental, not intentional. That said, US consumers also seem to be slanting toward LCD TVs over their plasma cousins. Hitachi on Monday announced a new camcorder that can record onto the Blu-ray Disc format. The DZ-BD10HA is the company’s latest Blu-ray Disc Hybrid Camcorder, and can record onto Blu-ray Disc, hard drive and SDHC formats. The camcorder comes equipped with 7 mega pixel CMOS image sensor and Full HD capability, as well as one-touch dubbing, which can transfer video from the drive or SDHC card to a Blu-ray Disc. Also available is face-detection capability. The new camcorder is capable of recording up to 8 hours and 40 minutes of 1440x1080 video, and 4 hours and 20 minutes of 1920x1080 video.
