Targus, Inc. this week announced a new laptop case, called the Zip-Thru, meant to make it easier for users to get through airport security while carrying their laptop computer.

The case, which is derived from the company’s Corporate Traveler line, is designed to meet TSA guidelines by allowing the screener to get an easier look at the laptop, thereby minimizing delays. TSA authorities, the company said, worked with them on testing of the product.

“The new Zip-Thru Corporate Traveler laptop case is the lightest in its class, and features our patented SafePort® Air Cushion System, which helps to prevent laptop damage if the bag is dropped or bumped,” Targus’ vice president of marketing, Al Glazzon, said as part of the announcement.

The case, with an MSRP of $99.99, is set for release this fall. For more information on the company’s products, visit www.targus.com
