The Hannspree SD7021 digital picture frame is a black, 7-inch entry-level frame that is definitely a great option for anyone looking for an inexpensive way to display digital photos quickly and easily.
The frame's menus and options are actually easier to navigate while looking at the screen, thanks to a navigation bar that drops down when you push the buttons.
The frame sports a 3-in-1 memory card reader (SD/SDHC, MMC, MemoryStick/Stick Pro) and USB port. Although transferring photos to internal memory went reasonably fast, I wasn't impressed with the quality of images after they were copied to memory so I inserted a USB thumbdrive instead. I felt the images looked clearer and crisper after doing so. JPEGs and BMPs were supported with this frame, but I was a little disappointed that it did not include any video or MP3 playback as I had encountered with some frames I had reviewed in the past. Effects for transitioning from photo to photo within the slideshow were limited.
However, you have a wide range for slide interval time, anywhere from 5 seconds to 3 minutes. With an MSRP of $49.99, the SD7021 digital picture frame is a great choice that does just enough for a great price.
