The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, held Sunday night in Los Angeles, included among its sponsors Harman International. Harman served as the Grammys' "official sound partner" for the second straight year, and also was the main sponsor of the Clive Davis and Recording Academy Pre-Grammy Gala. As part of the sponsorship, Harman's logo appeared throughout the night on the red carpet and elsewhere.

In addition, Harman teamed up with PBS and the National Geographic Channel to produce the "Road to a Grammy" special. And the company provided products in the Grammy Gifting Suite at the Staples Center; singer Rihanna was photographed wearing a pair of JBL headphones.

Prior to the ceremony, Harman itself was awarded a Technical Grammy Award, on behalf of its AKG brand. Harman International Chairman and CEO Dinesh Paliwal accepted the award.

Harman also ran a 30-second television commercial during the Grammy broadcast.
