FINEDRIVE 400 GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM REVIEW: It Never Ceases to Direct You
March 2006 By —Stephen KrasowskiMost of us enjoy listening to music while in the vehicle and a built-in MP3 player program allows you to do so easily and, because you do not have to constantly keep looking at maps and stopping at gas stations for directions, you have the ability to listen to the music you most enjoy in the very comfortable setting of your vehicle. I had no trouble copying music from my laptop computer at home onto the SD card that is provided with the unit. I simply created an MP3 folder on the SD card and copied all of the MP3 files onto that card, placed the card into the unit in my vehicle and powered up. Once you select the MP3 player option from the menu, a playlist is then loaded displaying all of your MP3 files. It’s really that easy, and none of my musical selections sounded distorted in any way. Unfortunately, the navigation functions and the MP3 player would not work simultaneously. I basically had to keep going back and forth between the MP3 player and the navigation functions (Note: Please make sure you pull over to the side of the road before you start changing the functions around. The system displays this note to the user on the screen. I learned a real lesson here by not adhering to this advice!)
I really learned a lot about the surrounding areas of my new home in New Jersey by using the FineDrive 400 GPS system. The directions it provided were out of this world and much better than I had expected. I would definitely recommend this system to anyone whether you are from a small town or big city, but especially if you are planning a long trip. yy
