Best Buy Debuts Fitness Equipment

Best Buy has announced its entry into another new product category- fitness and exercise equipment.

As part of a program in 40 stores initially, Best Buy will offer treadmills, elliptical trainers, exercise bikes, weights, heart monitors, and more, from all sorts of brands.

The program will launch initially in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Mexico and Texas, as well as Washington, D.C.

We’re constantly looking for the most innovative solutions to address our customer’s lifestyle needs," Steve Trier, senior director of customer research & development at Best Buy, said as part of the announcement. “Customers expect quality, selection and service from Best Buy, and with health and fitness, we’re matching the right combination of gear with experienced BlueShirts and Geek Squad to help them manage and stay motivated by their fitness routines.”
