Amazon's Kindle 2 device has only been on the market for a couple of months, but the third edition of the device is reportedly on the way.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the device's new version will come with a larger screen, to make it easier to view newspapers as well as certain other books, and advertisements. The Journal, in the report, cited unnamed sources who claim to have seen the device; Amazon declined to comment.

The news comes amid expectations for both greater competition in the e-book market, and an expected tripling of the market for such devices in the next year.
